Jim Tierney

I just came across the following wildly popular image on Tumblr:

Can you imagine if Molière's Misanthrope lived in our modern cyber social world?

Jim Tierney is the creative source behind the educational image above (the three methods of sitting make me especially happy -- I've been looking for a variant) and, through a series of clicks, I pleasantly discovered that his awesome hand-drawn type, illustrations, and general artistic awesomeness filter through quite a wide variety of stellar designs.

Like these, for example:

A Molière reference, hand-drawn type, Tegan & Sara, illustrations of awesome vintage pens, birdies, and AN OWL?!? I kind of love this guy.

Check out more of Jim Tierney's lovely designs, including a great set of Jules Verne covers, over on his website HERE and on his blog HERE.
